Hello Friends,

I’m excited to announce that my local art gallery here in Okotoks is hosting a members show next month with the theme called “Hope Blooms”.  The exhibit runs from July 3rd to September 17^th, 2021.

At first I wasn’t sure what to include in the art work, since the guidelines identified that the painting needed to have lavender and, or daisies included in it. I thought about the idea “Hope Blooms” within the current pandemic climate, and it really meant so much more to me than just lavender and daisies. In my mind it represented the idea of renewal and new life. What could be more inspiring than a wildlife scene with baby animal and a newly emerged butterfly within a field of blooms. To me these are the elements of renewed hope and an expectation for a bright new tomorrow.

What do you think? Does this little painting inspire your feelings of renewed hope in a happy future?
