What's on My Easel Jan 2021

Hello Friends,

As we enter another month in lockdown due to the Coronavirus, I've started a new painting. This one is really about looking toward the future and leaving a murky past behind. This past year has had so many upheavals it's been difficult to absorb just what has and is really going on. I'm ready to look to the future.

In this newest painting, I've illustrated the upheavals as a murky mist that lies behind us with the totem and the eagle looking forward to a new future, a changed future, a positive but yet unknown future. One that has hope, and is currently unwritten. I see the eagle as a symbol of strength and tenacity, and the totem as a sentinel looking toward the future.

Here are some photos of the painting progress so far.

I haven't named the painting yet.

Love your work... What's on your easel? How about Nature's Sentinel

Love this and the sentiment behind it. We all need to look to the future and the positive to come after the coronavirus
